The results of the Research Project "Policy and Practice: Ethnicity and Race in Contemporary Cyprus" were presented on the 19th of December at the University of Nicosia.
The project was conducted by RUBSI and coordinated by Dr Constantinos Phellas and Dr Mike Hajimichael, under the Research Promotion Foundation "Overseas Distinguished Scientists" program and with the cooperation of Professor John Solomos and Dr Liza Schuster from the Department of Sociology, City University, London.
The former Minister of Interior Mr Neoclis Sylikiotis, as well as Mr Doros Polykarpou, representative of KISA - Action for Equality, Support and Antiracism, addressed the ceremony. After the presentation of the results John Solomos was awarded with the "Distinguished Overseas Scientist" award by the Cyprus Research Promotion Foundation.
